- Generates complex CNC programs using three+ axes in CAM software
- Creates a resilient CNC program offline, leveraging software capabilities to ensure accurate PC simulations, thereby preventing collisions and minimizing time spent at the work center
- Supports CAM processes, from program download to initial setup and approval of the first piece
- Reviews engineering drawings for manufacturing compatibility and suggests revisions for productivity enhancements
- Initiates studies for improved manufacturing processes, including equipment, materials, and designs
- Collaborates with Quality for robust CMM/manual inspection processes
- Creates work instructions and ensures adherence to safety and quality management standards
- Maintains accurate records, including CNC tooling lists
- Performs simulations for program validation, ensuring correct speeds and feeds
- High School degree or GED
- 5 + years of CNC Programming experience
- Expert with MasterCAM
