Benefits & Pay of the Machine Operator/Slicing:

  • $17.95 - $20.34

Requirements of the Machine Operator/Slicing:

  • High School Diploma/GED: Minimum educational requirement for the position.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Understanding of GD&T: Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing principles.
  • Proficiency in Measurement: Ability to use standard and metric measuring systems and measuring tools.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC): Familiarity with SPC techniques is beneficial for quality control.

Responsibilities of the Machine Operator/Slicing:

  • Machine Operation: Attend machines while they slice parts, adjusting machines for quality and quantity, and operating multiple slicing machines simultaneously.
  • Maintenance: Install proper oils and coolants, change machine oils, coolant, and filters, and clean machines and coolant tanks as needed.
  • Swarf and Coolant Management: Remove swarf and old coolants from machines and dispose of them properly.
  • Tooling Maintenance: Maintain tooling to ensure maximum efficiency of operations.
  • Quality Control: Maintain proper quality and quantities of manufactured materials, review operation sheets to ensure all previous operations are completed satisfactorily, and verify completed operations match blueprints.
